1. 1.5kg piece corned beef
2. 2 tablespoons malt vinegar
3. 1½ tablespoons brown sugar
4. 1 teaspoon peppercorns
5. 1 bayleaf
6. 1 small onion
7. 2 cloves
8. 2 small carrots
9. steamed carrots, to serve
10. green beans, to serve
11. béchamel sauce, to serve
Directions
Cooking time: 60min per 1kg
Place all ingredients in a large saucepan, and cover with cold water
Bring slowly to a boil; reduce heat and simmer 1½ hours or until beef is cooked through.
Slice and serve with extra steamed carrots and green beans and béchamel sauce
