Creamy Spaghetti & Chicken

Or skip the chicken for a vegetarian option .
Directions
12 oz spaghetti or pasta
2 tablespoons olive oil
5 garlic minced
1/4 onion diced
1 tablespoon all purpose flour
1 cup broth
1/2 cup heavy whipping cream
1/4 cup tomato sauce
1/4 cup Parmesan cheese
1/2 teaspoon paprika, oregano, parsley , cayenne, chili flakes
1 teaspoon salt
Parsley for garnish
Chicken:
2 chicken breast pounded the medium thickness
1 teaspoon salt , garlic powder, oregano, Parsley , 2 teaspoons paprika, 1/2 chili flakes optional
Generously season chicken both sides.
Cook the chicken in 2 tablespoons olive oil for about 4 minutes covered on each side on medium low heat. Make sure to cover with a lid after flipping the chicken to keep the heat in .
Slice after chicken rests for 5 minutes.
Add olive oil and sauté the garlic and onions on low heat about a minute.
Sprinkle in the all purpose flour and cook the roux another 1 minute until sauce is cooked while stirring.
Add in broth , heavy whipping cream and tomato sauce to create a sauce.
When the sauce starts to thicken add in the seasonings and stir.
Once sauce is almost thickened add in the pasta , Parmesan cheese , parsley and give a good stir and let it all come together. Adjust salt if needed.
Top with the chicken. Serve hot with garlic bread and a salad.
NOTE- if not using Chicken for a vegetarian option then increase the seasoning to the sauce for full flavor. ( the seasoned chicken would have added additional seasonings)
