Sticky Garlic Soy Sauce

Ingredients

Ingredients:

3 tbsp soy sauce (low sodium preferred)

1 tbsp honey (or brown sugar)

1 tbsp rice vinegar (or apple cider vinegar)

1 tbsp sesame oil (adds great aroma—optional but recommended)

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 tsp grated fresh ginger (or 1/4 tsp ground ginger)

1–2 tsp sriracha or chili garlic sauce (optional, for heat)

1 tbsp cornstarch mixed with 2 tbsp water (for thickening)

Optional Boosters:

1 tbsp hoisin sauce or oyster sauce for depth

1 tsp lime juice or zest for brightness

1 tsp peanut butter for a Thai-style twist

Directions

Instructions:

In a small bowl, whisk everything except the cornstarch slurry.

Heat the sauce in a small saucepan or in the pan after cooking the chicken.

Once simmering, stir in the cornstarch slurry.

Simmer until thickened (1–2 minutes), then toss with the cooked chicken bites.

Chopped scallions

Crushed peanuts or cashews

A squeeze of lime
