16 ounces (455 g) frozen homestyle beef meatballs
1 tablespoon (28 g) onion soup mix, store-bought or homemade (page 319)
½ cup (120 ml) milk
⅓ cup (42 g) all-purpose flour
20 ounces (567 g) canned cream of chicken soup
1 package (28 g) au jus mix, store-bought or homemade (page 320)
¾ cup (175 ml) water
FOR SERVING:
5-6 cups (790-948 g) cooked brown or white rice
Directions
1. Add the frozen meatballs to the slow cooker.
2. In a bowl, whisk together the remaining ingredients (except for the rice) and pour over the meatballs. Stir to coat.
3. Cover the slow cooker. Cook on LOW for 4 to 5 hours or on HIGH for 2 to 3 hours.
4. Serve meatballs and sauce over cooked rice.
