6 minute steaks (sirloin, thinly sliced)
3 tbsp butter (unsalted)
2 tbsp olive oil
2 garlic cloves (whole, peel removed)
salt
pepper
garlic powder
onion powder
dried oregano
dried basil
fresh thyme (small handful)
fresh sage (small handful)
red wine vinegar (to garnish, optional)
Directions
Begin by slicing your steaks into thin pieces if they aren't already.Tenderize the steak by using a meat mallet, striking the steak several times, beginning in the middle and working your way to the edges. They should be thin, no more than 1/4 inch thick.
To each side of the steak, season with salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, dried oregano and dried basil.
To a large pan, add your olive oil and butter and set to medium/high heat.
Add your minute steaks, garlic cloves, fresh thyme and fresh sage, working in batches if you need to avoid crowding the pan.
Pan fry the steaks on each side for 1-2 minutes, basting the steaks with the butter and olive oil.
Remove the steaks and top with the remaining butter in the pan.
Top with a splash of red wine vinegar.
Serve on the side of salad, rice, pasta or mashed potatoes.
Enjoy!
