Stromboli with Puff Pastry

Ingredients

For the stromboli

1 sheet puff pastry, thawed

1/2 cup pizza sauce or marinara

1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

12–15 slices pepperoni

6 slices turkey or beef salami

1/2 cup cooked cow bacon, crumbled

1/4 cup sliced black olives (optional)

1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)

Directions

Prepare the pastry

Preheat oven to 200°C (400°F). Roll the puff pastry lightly into a rectangle on parchment paper. Spread a thin layer of pizza sauce over the center, leaving a small border around the edges 🥐

Add the filling

Sprinkle mozzarella cheese evenly, then layer pepperoni, salami, cow bacon, and olives. Finish with Italian seasoning for classic pizza flavor 🧀

Roll and seal

Carefully roll the pastry into a tight log, tucking in the ends. Place seam-side down on a baking tray and brush all over with beaten egg ✨

Bake until flaky

Cut a few slits on top for steam to escape. Bake for 20–25 minutes until deep golden, puffed, and beautifully flaky 🔥
