Apple Fritter Cake Recipe👩🏽🍳
Wash, peel, and dice 3 green apples into small chunks. To a bowl add 1/4 cup of granulated sugar and 1-2 tablespoons of cinnamon (I love cinnamon so I use 2-3 tbsp). Mix well until apples are coated. Set aside.
For the batter add
3 cups of flour, 1 cup of sugar, 1 1/4 cup of whole milk, 4 teaspoons of baking powder, 1 teaspoons of vanilla extract, 3 eggs (beaten).
Directions
Mix until smooth and add 1/2 cup of butter melted (1 stick). Fold in apples.
In my video these steps are swapped because I forgot about my butter but don’t forget this step!*
Pour your batter into a 9x13 baking dish lined with parchment paper (I used tinfoil because I ran out of parchment paper, if you use tinfoil make sure you spray it).
For the cinnamon swirl add
1/2 cup of melted butter (1stick), 1 cup of brown sugar, 3 tablespoons of cinnamon. Mix well and add to the top of your batter. Swirl it in with the end of a knife or toothpick.
Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes (or until toothpick comes out smooth, keep an eye on it on the last 10 minutes).
For the Maple Glaze add
1 1/2 cup of powdered sugar, 1/4 cup of milk, 2 tablespoons of Real Maple syrup. Mic until smooth and pour over your slightly warm cake.
Slice & serve warm! Enjoy!!!
