Honey Garlic Steak

½ cup soy sauce
3 tablespoons honey
2 tablespoons water
2 to 3 cloves garlic, minced
3 cups cubed cooked steak from the Steak
Skewers with Peanut
Dip (page 119), or any cooked steak
1 tablespoon unsalted butter
Salt and freshly ground black pepper
Chopped green onions for serving
Directions
1. In a large skillet, combine the soy sauce, honey, water, and garlic. Set the pan over medium-high heat, and bring to a simmer. Add the steak and butter, and cook for 2 to 3 minutes, until the steak is warmed through, the butter melts, and the sauce thickens. Season to taste with salt and black pepper.
2. Top with green onions, and serve.
PREP AHEAD TIP: The soy sauce mixture can be prepared up to 24 hours in advance. To save time on meal-prep day, cut the steak up to 24 hours in advance and refrigerate until ready to cook. SERVING SUGGESTION: Serve the beef and sauce in lettuce leaves, over rice, or over your favorite grain.
