IN AND OUT BURGERS YUMMY
In-N-Out at Home Pt 2 - The SECRET In-N-Out Spread Recipe (Animal Style Sauce)
If you're making In-N-Out at home, don't skip this. This is how to make In-N-Out spread (Animal Style sauce recipe) but UPGRADED. Their sauce is good, but this recipe takes it to another level.
Ingredients
Caramelized Onions
-2 large yellow onions (finely diced)
- 2 tbsp neutral oil or butter
- Small pinch of sugar
- Large pinch of kosher salt
In-N-Out Animal-Style Sauce (slightly upgraded)
- ½ cup mayonnaise
- 2 tbsp ketchup
- 1 tbsp dill pickles (finely diced)
- 1 tsp pickle juice
- ½ tsp sugar
- ½ tsp paprika
- ½ clove garlic (grated)
- Small pinch of MSG
- 1 tbsp finely chopped fresh chives
- 1-2 tbsp prepared caramelized onions
- Salt & black pepper (to taste)
- INSTRUCTIONS
- Caramelized Onions
Directions:
1. Heat a skillet over medium-low heat and add the oil or butter.
2. Add the diced onions, a large pinch of salt, and a small pinch of sugar.
3. Cook slowly, stirring occasionally, for 25-30 minutes (or until the onions are a deep golden-brown and jammy).
*NOTE: Add a small splash of water or lower the heat to prevent them from burning if they're browning too quickly.
In-N-Out Animal Style Sauce
After the onions are caramelized, add 1-2
tbsp of them to a bowl with the rest of the sauce ingredients and whisk until smooth and fully combined.
Season to taste & refrigerate for at least 30 minutes so the flavors meld together.
Put on your In-N-Out burger or whatever you want.
