Bacon Jam Patty Melt

Ingredients

BACON JAM:

1/2lb diced bacon

1/2 yellow onion diced

3 garlic cloves

1 Tbsp hot honey

1/4 C brown sugar

1/4 C maple syrup

1/4 C apple cider vinegar

Cook down the bacon, remove, drain all but about 2 tablespoons of grease

Saute onions and garlic together

Directions

Add in the rest including the bacon and cook all together for about 5 minutes (to cook down the vinegar and caramelize the sugars)

Cook the patty, toast the bread, and build!
