Chicken and Mushrooms in Wine Sauce

2 chicken breasts cut in half
6 slices bacon
¼ c. flour
1 medium onion, thinly sliced
1 clove garlic, crushed
2 cup dry red wine
½ tsp. Salt
½ tsp. pepper
½ tsp. thyme
½ tsp. marjoram
1 TBSP. parsley
½ Ib. Mushrooms, sliced
3 cup cooked rice
Directions
Fry bacon until crisp; drain on paper towel. Flour chicken breasts, brown in bacon drippings. Drain off fat. Crumble bacon over chicken, sprinkle on seasonings, parsley and garlic. Place onions over all. Pour on wine and cook 45 minutes at 300. Add mushroom slices and cook 10 more minutes. Serve on bed of rice. Top with wine sauce.
Good with peas and pearl onions and your favorite wine.
