Roasted Broccoli

Ingredients

Broccoli florets

Olive oil

Optional:

Sea salt and black pepper

Lemon

Red pepper flakes

Directions

Preheat the oven to 200°C and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Place the broccoli florets and lemon halves (if using) on the baking sheet. Toss with olive oil, salt, and pepper, and spread evenly.

Roast 15 to 22 minutes or until browned around the edges.

Squeeze a little lemon juice onto the broccoli and sprinkle with red pepper flakes, if desired.

Notes

Blanching the broccoli for 30 seconds in boiling water before roasting can improve the texture by softening the the stalks.
