Chocolate Chip Cookies

1 cup salted butter (softened)

1 cup sugar

1 cup light brown sugar (packed)

2 tsp vanilla extract

2 eggs

3 cups AP flour

1 tsp baking soda

1/2 tsp baking powder

1 tsp salt (heaping)

2 cups chocolate (chips or chunks)

Flaky sea salt for sprinkling


Preheat oven to 375.

In a medium bowl, mix flour baking soda, salt, and baking powder.

Cream together butter and sugars for 5 minutes until well combined.

Add eggs and vanilla and beat until fluffy.

Mix in dry ingredients until combined (do not over-mix).

Add chocolate and mix well.

Use a 2 tbsp scoop and scoop cookies onto plate and place in freezer.

Place 16-20 cookies on a parchment-lined baking sheet and sprinkle with sea-salt.

Bake in oven for 8-10 minutes. Take cookies out when they are just barely starting to turn lightly brown (do not over-bake).

Let sit on a pan for 2 minutes before removing to cooling rack.
