Caramelized Ginger Miso Onigiri

Ingredients

Cooked rice – 1 bowl

Ginger – 1 small piece

Miso – 1 tsp

Brown sugar – 2 tsp

Water – 2–3 tbsp

Green onion – optional

Directions

Slice the ginger into very thin strips.

Add ginger, water, sugar, and miso to a pan.

Simmer on low heat for about 3-5minutes until slightly caramelized. Add more water if needed.

Mix with rice and green onion.

Shape into onigiri. Done!
