Mothers Chili Macaroni

Ingredients

1/2 pound uncooked elbow macaroni

1 1/2 pound lean ground beef (90% lean)

1 large chopped onion

some green pepper diced

2 (14.5 oz ) stewed canned tomatoes

tomato juice

2 tablespoons ketchup

1 can canned kidney beans, rinsed and drained

garlic salt, pepper, chili powder

Directions

Cook macaroni according to package directions. Meanwhile, in a large skillet, cook beef and onion over medium heat until meat is no longer pink; drain.

Add the tomatoes, tomato juice, beans, garlic, chili powder, salt, and pepper. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat; simmer, uncovered, for 10 minutes.

Drain macaroni; add to beef mixture. Stir and heat through.
