Ingredients

1 lb lean ground beef

8 oz elbow macaroni

1 medium yellow onion, diced

3 cloves garlic, minced

1 can (14.5 oz) diced tomatoes (fire-roasted preferred)

1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese

1 cup milk

Salt, pepper, paprika, and Italian herbs to taste

Directions

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

Boil water in a large pot and cook the elbow macaroni until al dente; drain and set aside.

In a large skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef with the diced onion until fully cooked; add minced garlic and diced tomatoes and simmer for 5 minutes.

In a bowl, whisk together milk and cheddar cheese until smooth.

Combine the cooked pasta with the beef mixture and pour in the cheese sauce; mix until evenly coated.

Transfer to a greased baking dish, top with extra cheese if desired, and bake for about 25 minutes until bubbly and golden brown.
