German Potato Salad

5 pound potatoes
1 1/2 cup sugar
1 cup of water
1 cup of vinegar
Bacon
Cornstarch
Directions
Fry bacon and break up. Then add all ingredients and thicken with cornstarch. Pour over cooked & sliced potatoes. Refrigerate.
