Aromatic Citrus Herb Butter with Steamed Asparagus

Ingredients

2 ounces butter, unsalted

1 tablespoon shallots, minced

2 tablespoons fresh herbs, in season

4 tablespoons fresh-squeezed orange juice

1 pound fresh asparagus, trimmed, shallow steamed

Directions

Preparation: In a small sauté pan, heat the butter until starting to be brown and foamy. Add the shallots and cook for about 1 minute.

Remove from the heat and fry the fresh herbs in the hot butter. Add the fresh-squeezed orange juice. Hold warm for service.

When asparagus has finished steaming, place on platter, and drizzle the butter over the top. Serve immediately.
