for the beef:
1 lb 96/4 ground beef
½ bunch green onion, diced
2 tbsp honey
3 tbsp low-sodium soy sauce
2 tbsp rice vinegar
1 tbsp toasted sesame oil
for the creamy spicy broth:
3 cups chicken broth
1 cup whole milk
3 tbsp sriracha
1 tbsp tomato paste
1 tbsp soy sauce
2 tsp honey
1–2 cloves garlic, minced (or ½ tsp garlic powder)
1 tbsp butter
Directions
Cook rice according to package directions.
Brown the ground beef in a skillet over medium-high heat until cooked and crispy. Add the diced green onion and cook for 1–2 minutes.
Add honey, soy sauce, rice vinegar, and sesame oil. Stir until the beef is coated and the sauce caramelizes.
For the broth, whisk together chicken broth, sriracha, tomato paste, soy sauce, honey, and garlic. Simmer for 3–5 minutes.
Reduce heat and stir in the whole milk and butter. Warm through, but don’t boil.
Add rice and ground beef to a bowl, pour in the creamy broth, and top green onions.
