Roasted jalapeno crema

Ingredients

4 jalapenos

1/4 large white onion

4 garlic cloves

1/2 tsp salt (more to taste)

1/8 cup avocado oil

1-2 tsp fresh lime juice

Directions

1. Heat a medium sized frying pan over medium heat. Place jalapenos (whole), garlic cloves, and onion wedge in pan with no oil and char up about 10-15 minutes. The less time, the more heat your jalapenos keep.

2. Pull all veg out of the pan. Cut and discard the tops off the jalapenos and seed and core if you wish.

3. Put all remaining ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth.

4. Refrigerate until cooled down (about 20 minutes). Enjoy!

Notes

* I scaled this recipe down to 1/4 its original size. This makes enough for 3 people for street tacos.
