Tuna Thoran

3 Can Tuna

1 cup Coconut grated

7 Shallots

½ inch Ginger

4 Green Chilly

½ tsp Turmeric Powder

1 tsp Chilly Powder

3 Kudumpulli washed

1 stem Curry Leaves

¼ tsp Fenugreek Powder

1 tsp Coconut Oil

1 tsp Salt


Pulse coconut, shallot, ginger, curry leaves, green chilly, turmeric powder and chilly powder.

Drain tuna from can to remove water. Squeeze excess water if necessary.

In a manchatti, mix tuna and pulsed coconut along with salt.

Add kudumpulli into tuna and slightly mix to cover pulli with tuna.

Cook tuna covered in medium heat until raw smell of coconut is gone. Mix tuna every 5 minutes.

Add fenugreek powder and coconut oil and mix well.

Continue cooking for another 8 minutes.

Tuna thoran is ready to serve.
