7g instant yeast
240ml tepid/warm water
1 teaspoon golden caster sugar
400g plain flour
50 ml olive oil
Directions
Mix yeast and warm water in large bowl and let activate for a coupe of minutes. Add the sugar and stir in.
Add flour and olive oil and kneed together until you have a smooth doughy consistency (about 7-8 minutes).
Leave the dough in an oiled bowl for an hour until risen.
Preheat oven to 220c fan (240c / Gas 9)
Once risen, cut dough into 8 and make nice round balls. Leave on large baling tray and allow to rise for further 10 minutes.
Once risen, flatten each ball with a rolling pin (not too thin). Lay on a baling sheet and bake for 5 mins or until pittas have puffed up.
