Ingredients

Ingredients (Serves 2–3):

2 white fish fillets (cod, tilapia, or haddock)

Salt & black pepper

2 tbsp cornstarch (for light coating)

1 tbsp olive oil or butter

For the sticky garlic butter glaze:

2 tbsp unsalted butter

4 garlic cloves, minced

2 tbsp honey

1 tbsp soy sauce

1 tsp chili flakes (optional)

1 tbsp lemon juice

Fresh parsley or chives to finish

Directions

Pat the fish fillets dry and season with salt and pepper.

Lightly dust both sides with cornstarch.

Heat olive oil or butter in a skillet over medium-high heat.

Sear fish 2–3 minutes per side until golden and crispy. Remove and set aside.

In the same pan, melt butter. Add garlic and cook 30 seconds. Add honey, soy sauce, chili flakes, and lemon juice.

Simmer until slightly thickened (1–2 minutes).

Return the fish to the pan, spoon the glaze over the fillets, and cook 1 more minute.

Garnish with chopped parsley or chives. Serve hot.
