Fudge Frosting

Ingredients

2 cups sugar

3 T cocoa

1 cup cream

1 tsp. vanilla

1 T butter

Directions

Cook sugar, cocoa and cream to a soft ball stage over medium heat. Takes about 10 minutes of boiling. Remove and beat slowly after adding vanilla and about 1 T. butter. Beat until spreading consistency. Sets up fast.

Notes

We always had at least two of these cakes during harvest served with a big bowl of fresh sliced peaches. Also cream on the peaches, too, of course.
