For the Marinade

1 1/2 pounds flank steak

1 tbsp corn starch

1 tsp white pepper

2 tsp soy sauce

2 tsp shoaxing wine or dry sherry

2 tbsp avocado oil

1/2 tsp baking soda

For Coating The Beef

3/4 cup corn starch

For the Sauce

2 tbsp cooking oil

5 cloves smashed and rough chopped garlic

1/2 thumb sized piece of sliced ginger

5 dried chilis (optional)

1/3 cup soy sauce

1/3 cup water

3 tbsp light brown sugar

2 tsp white vinegar

2 tsp fresh ground black pepper

Garnish with green onions and toasted sesame seeds

Serve with white rice
