Anzac Caramel Slice

Ingredients

Base -

1 cup Plain Flour

3/4 cup Shredded Coconut

3/4 cup Oats

3/4 cup Brown Sugar

130g unsalted butter, melted

2 tbsp Golden Syrup

1/2 tsp Bicard Soda

2 tbsp Hot Water

Caramel Filling -

200g Unsalted Butter

395g Condensed Milk

4 tbsp Golden Syrup

250g Milk Chocolate

1 tbsp Coconut Oil

Shredded coconut to decorate

Directions

Base

Mix plain flour, oats, brown sugar and shredded cocont

Mix in a sperate bowl melted butter, golden syrup, bicarb soda and hot water.

Combine the 2 together and spread evenly in a lined tray.

Cooking at 180⁰ fan forced for 15-20min.

Filling

Mix together butter, condensed milk, golden syrup and whisk over a medium heat continuously until it turns golden and fully combine

Pour this over hot cooked base and refrigerate for 1hr.

When partialling set pour melted milk chocolate and coconut oil on top and sprinkle shredded coconut on top.

Place in fridge for 2hr or until set.
