German Chocolate Pound Cake (Brenda Noor)

Ingredients

1 bar (4oz) German sweet chocolate

½ tsp soda

2 ¾ cups sifted cake flour

¼ tsp cinnamon

1¾ cups sugar

1 cup butter (2 sticks)

1 tsp salt

¾ cup milk

¾ tsp cream of tartar

1 tsp vanilla

4 eggs

Directions

Melt chocolate over hot water. Sift flour and dry ingredients. Cream butter and sugar. Add eggs one at a time. Add milk and dry ingredients alternately. Add vanilla. Stir in chocolate. Grease and flour 10" tube pan. Bake at 350 for 65 mins.

Cool 15 minutes, remove from pan.
