Garlic Honey Salmon

Ingredients

250g salmon fillet (seasoned with salt/pepper)

1 tablespoon honey

2 tablespoons soy sauce

1 small clove garlic, minced

1 tablespoon unsalted butter

1 teaspoon olive oil

1 teaspoon brown sugar

Chili flakes, to taste

Olive oil for searing

Directions

Season your 250g salmon fillet with a pinch of salt and pepper.

In a small saucepan over medium heat, melt the unsalted butter. Add minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.

Stir in honey, soy sauce, sugar, and olive oil. Continue stirring until well combined. Add chili flakes to your desired level of heat.

Heat a pan with a bit of olive oil over medium-high heat.

Sear the salmon for a few minutes on each side until it reaches your desired doneness.

In the last couple of minutes of cooking, brush the honey glaze over the salmon. Allow it to caramelize slightly.

Once done, transfer the glazed salmon to a plate, and spoon any remaining glaze over the top.
