Ingredients

Roasted beef

Provolone or Cheese of Choice

Sub rolls or Bread of Choice

Jus

  • 4C Beef stock

  • 1 Large onion, thinly sliced

  • 1/2t Garlic powder

  • 1/2t Onion Powder

  • 1/2t Black pepper

  • 2t Worcestershire sauce

Directions

  • Use 4T olive oil to sauté onion until lightly browned.

  • Add beef stock & all spices into a small pot, bring to boil, and let simmer for 10 mintues. If prefer a thicker Au Jus, use 1T Cornstarch to make slush to thicken the Au Jus.

Notes

  • For Scottish dip Au Jus, add 1/4t grated horseradish to the mix (yes, we are the weirdo kept grated horseradish in the fridge).

  • I prefer A1 sauce to my sandwiches but you can use mayo + horseradish (to taste) to achieve Scottish dipped effects & keep the Au Jus plain so the kids are ok with it as well.
