12 oz linguine pasta
2 tablespoons butter
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 lb beef sirloin or flank steak, thinly sliced
1 teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon black pepper
4 cloves garlic, minced
1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
½ cup beef broth
1 cup heavy cream
¾ cup grated Parmesan cheese
1 tablespoon fresh parsley or basil (optional, for garnish)
Directions
Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook linguine according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
While the pasta cooks, heat butter and olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Season the beef with salt and pepper, then sear for 2–3 minutes per side until browned. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
In the same skillet, lower the heat to medium. Add minced garlic and Italian seasoning; cook for 30 seconds until fragrant.
Pour in beef broth and stir, scraping up any browned bits. Let it simmer for 2 minutes.
Stir in the heavy cream and Parmesan cheese. Simmer gently for 3–4 minutes until the sauce thickens.
Return the beef and cooked linguine to the skillet. Toss everything together until well coated and heated through.
Serve warm, garnished with parsley or basil if desired.
