Ingredients

4 hoagie rolls

1 Romaine lettuce heart (about 2 cups chopped)

4 ounces Black Forest ham

2 ounces Genoa salami

4 ounces provolone cheese

1 large tomato

1 small red onion

1/4 cup banana peppers

1/4 cup mayonnaise

2 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil

2 tablespoons red wine vinegar

1 teaspoon dried oregano

1/2 teaspoon black pepper

Directions

Split each roll and scoop out inside, leaving a 1/2-inch shell.

Arrange lettuce in an even layer on a large cutting board or work surface. Top evenly with ham, salami, cheese, tomato, onion, and banana peppers. Using a large knife, chop through ingredients until mixture is evenly chopped and combined.

Whisk together mayonnaise, olive oil, vinegar, oregano, and black pepper in a small bowl. Pour over lettuce mixture; chop to combine. Spoon mixture into prepared rolls.
