Filipino BBQ Pork In A Stick

Ingredients

7lbs ¼ inch thick pork shoulder or pork belly

Skewers.

Filipino BBQ Pork on a Stick Marinade:

2 heads garlic minced

1 cup banana sauce

1 cup oyster sauce

1 cup brown sugar

½ cup rice vinegar

12oz 7up

2 tbsp soy sauce

1 tbsp low sodium soy sauce

1 tbsp chili oil

1½ tsp sesame seed oil

1 tsp black bean sauce

1 tsp black pepper

1 tsp red chile flakes

1 lemon juice

BBQ Glaze

¼ cup oyster sauce

1 cuo banana sauce

2 tbs garlic chili paste

1 tsp sesame seed oil

Directions

1. Combine all marinade ingredients and pour over sliced pork. Cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours.

2. Mix together glaze ingredients and set aside.

3. Skewer the marinated pork and grill over high heat. Flip once during grilling.

4. Brush with glaze just before fully cooked, flip again to caramelize the glaze. Remove from grill.

5. For bok choy, brush cut sides with garlic butter, sesame oil, and soy sauce. Grill until tender and slightly charred.

6. Fry lumpia in 350°F hot oil until golden brown. Drain on paper towels.

Note: Serve with steamed rice for a complete meal.
