Long Grain Rice

Ingredients

1 cup white long grain rice

1 and 1/2 cups water

1 tbsp oil

1 tbsp salt or soup consommé

Directions

Put rice in sifter and wash

Put in medium pot on medium heat until water evaporates, approximately 2 minutes

Add oil and soup consommé powder, stirring every so often until rice is lightly toasted

Add water, scraping rice from bottom

Let boil until most water has evaporated

Cover with lid and put on low heat for about 20 minutes

Fluff and serve
