Ingredients

This is the OG Christmas Crack and making it is just as easy but will make you feel like a candyman.

70g honey - I’ve used leatherwood for a really prominent flavour, go with what you love

150g caster sugar

125g unsalted butter

1-2 tablespoons water (just to get it going)

250g peanuts, raw

1/2-1 tsp cinnamon

250g milk or dark chocolate

Sea salt flakes

Line a baking tray with baking paper

Directions

Combine the honey, water, sugar and butter in a saucepan and bring to the boil. Add the nuts and stir continuously until the colour changes from a golden brown to a deep amber caramel colour, finally stir through the cinnamon

Spread onto the baking tray and allow to cool slightly before topping with the chocolate - the warmth of the toffee will melt the chocolate. Once melted, spread it out and top with the salt. Set in the fridge before breaking into pieces.
