Pineapple BBQ Pork Skewers

Ingredients

500 grams pork shoulder

200 grams fresh pineapple

60 ml soy sauce

2 tablespoons vegetable oil

3 tablespoons honey

2 teaspoons smoked paprika

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

1 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon black pepper

10 wooden skewers

Directions

Soak wooden skewers in water for at least 30 minutes to prevent burning.

Cut pork shoulder into 2 cm cubes and pineapple into similar-sized chunks.

In a large bowl whisk together soy sauce, vegetable oil, honey, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.

Add pork cubes to the marinade, toss to coat evenly, and refrigerate for at least 1 hour.

Preheat grill to medium-high heat (around 200°C or 400°F).

Thread pork cubes and pineapple chunks alternately onto the soaked skewers.

Place skewers on the grill and cook for 10-12 minutes, turning occasionally, until pork is fully cooked and has a slight char.

Remove skewers from the grill and let rest for a few minutes before serving.
