Healthy Orange Chicken

Ingredients

For the Chicken:

2 - 1lb. boneless skinless chicken breast, cut into pieces

2 Tbsp. low sodium gluten free tamari (or soy sauce/coconut aminos)

2 Tbsp. avocado oit (or other high-heat oil)

For the Sauce:

2 tsp minced garlic

1 tsp minces fresh ginger

1/3 cup orange juice (use best quality)

1/3 cup cider vinegar

1/4 cup pure maple syrup

2 Tbsp low sodium gluten free tamari (or soy sauce/coconut aminos)

Directions

Make the Chicken:

1. Mix up your sauce, then heat avocado oil in a large pan over medium heat and cook chicken in batches, careful no to overcrowd the pan.

2. Cook chicken 4-5 minutes on one side, then another 3-4 minutes ilon the second side, or until crisped and cooked through.

3. Remove cooked chicken to a clean plate and repeat until all chicken is cooked.

Make the Sauce:

1. in a medium bowl, whisk together garlic, ginger, orange juice, vinegar, syrup, and tamari/soy sauce/aminos.

2. When the chicken is done cooking, pour the sauce mixture into your pan.

3. Whisk over medium heat until sauce thickens.

4. Turn off heat and stir in cooked chicken to coat with sauce.
