Red Devil's Food Cake

Ingredients

1 2/3 cups flour

1 1/2 cups sugar

1 1/4 tsp. soda

1 tsp. salt

1/2 cup cocoa

1/2 cup shortening

1 cup milk

1 tsp. vanilla

3 eggs

Directions

Sift flour, sugar, soda, salt and cocoa together into a bowl. Add shortening, milk and vanilla. Beat 2 minutes. Add eggs and beat 2 more minutes. Pour into well greased and floured pans. Makes 2 layers or oblong cake. Bake at 350 for 35 minutes.
