Ingredients

1/2 cup soy sauce

1/4 cup canola oil

1/4 cup packed brown sugar

2 teaspoons ground mustard

2 teaspoons ground ginger

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 beef top sirloin steak (1-1/2 pounds)

Directions

In a shallow dish, combine the first 6 ingredients; add the steak and turn to coat. Cover and refrigerate for 8 hours or overnight.

Drain steak, discarding marinade. Grill steak, covered, over medium heat until meat reaches desired doneness (for medium-rare, a thermometer should read 135°; medium, 140°; medium-well, 145°), 5-8 minutes on each side.
