Ingredients

1 lb Ground Beef

1 lb Sweet Italian Sausage Links

2 medium Yellow Onions, diced

1 can (29oz) Tomato Sauce

12 oz Tomato Paste (2 cans)

4 Garlic Cloves, minced

1 tsp Italian Seasoning

2 Tbsp fresh Parsley

1 tsp Garlic Powder

Crushed Red Pepper Flakes to taste

2 Tbsp Worcestershire sauce

2 Tbsp White Sugar

1 Cup filtered Water

2 Tbsp fresh Basil

¼ Cup Parmesan Cheese, plus more to taste

16 oz Spaghetti noodles, cooked al dente

Directions

Remove sleeving from sausage links

Press ground beef and sausage into the bottom of a chili pot and heat over medium

Season with salt and pepper

Once the meat starts to cook and develop a crust, add the onions and finish browning the meat

Remove the pot from heat and drain excess grease from meat in a colander. Do not rinse with water, just shake as much grease as you can from the colander

Add meat and onions back to pot. Add garlic and cook until fragrant, about one minute

Add tomato sauce, tomato paste, water, dry seasonings, and parsley. Let simmer over medium-low for 30-45 minutes

Add basil and parmesan and stir to combine, cooking until basil is wilted

Season to taste with salt and pepper

Serve over noodles, topping with parmesan
