Mrs. Fields $250 Cookie (Joe’s Cookies)

1 cup margarine
1 cup butter
2 cups sugar
2 cups brown sugar
4 eggs
2 tsp vanilla
4 cups flour
5 cups quick oats
1 tsp salt
2 tsp baking powder
2 tsp baking soda
24 oz choc chips
1 8oz plain Hershey Bar frozen and broken up
3 cup chopped pecans
1-2 Tbs Water (only if dough is too dry - also lets cookies flatten more)
Directions
Preheat oven to 365.
Cream together sugars and butters, then add vanilla and eggs.
Mix together dry ingredients, then add to batter mixing well.
Lastly, add chocolate chips and nuts, mixing with a dough hook or by hand.
Place dough (size of golf balls) 2” apart on greased cookie sheet.
Bake at 365 for 8-10 minutes.
Makes 8-10 dozen.
For a less chunky cookie, leave out 1/2 cup of oats.

“Note: the actual amounts of nuts, chips, and chocolate bar can be varied a little bit. Chocolate bars have shrunk since I started making these. I have also cut back on the chocolate chips some so that the cookies aren’t as chocolatety!”
