CRISPY AND LAYERED, EASY AND DELICIOUS ROLLED PASTRY π―
A detailed recipe video is now available on my YouTube channel β€οΈ The link is in my bio and stories β
Ingredients:
5 to 5.5 cups of flour
1 cup of milk
1 cup of water
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon yeast
150-200 grams of butter
For the topping:
1 egg yolk
1 tablespoon of milk
Instructions:
After preparing the dough, I divided it into 15 pieces (dough balls). I flattened each piece slightly with a rolling pin, placed butter between the layers, and stacked them on top of each other. From the 15 pieces, I ended up with 5 sets of 3 layers of dough. I let this dough rest in the fridge for about 1 hour. After that, I rolled it out as shown in the video, greased the surface, and folded it into triangles. I also chilled the folded dough for a bit. If you freeze them, it will chill faster, but if you just put them in the fridge, it might take a little longer but it will be more guaranteed.βΊοΈ
Once the dough is cold enough, I rolled it out again and cut it into three equal parts, giving it a shape. You can also add a filling if you want, but I chose not to π«Άπ»
Finally, after letting the shaped pastries rise for at least 30 minutes on the baking tray, I brushed the top with the egg wash and baked them at 180Β°C in the oven β Baking times may vary depending on the oven, so be careful π―
Enjoy if you try it out! For more details, you can visit my YouTube channel π
