Ingredients

Prep Time: 15 minutes (plus 1 hour rise)

Cook Time: 4–6 minutes per waffle

Yields: 6–8 waffles

Ingredients:

For the Batter:

– 3 eggs

– 150 ml lukewarm milk

– 250 grams flour

– 7 grams dried yeast

– 1–2 teaspoons cinnamon

– 1 tablespoon sugar

– 1/2 teaspoon salt

– 150 ml water

– 100 grams butter, melted

For Serving:

– Butter, for greasing waffle iron

– Icing sugar, for sprinkling

Directions

1. In a bowl, beat eggs with lukewarm milk.

2. Add flour, yeast, cinnamon, sugar, and salt. Beat until smooth.

3. Add water and mix until lump-free. Stir in melted butter.

4. Cover the bowl and let batter rise in a warm place for 1 hour.

5. Preheat waffle iron to medium heat and grease with butter.

6. Pour in batter using a ladle. Cook each waffle for 4–6 minutes until golden brown and crispy.

Notes

Serve warm, sprinkled generously with icing sugar.
