Basic recipe:
2 TBSP chia seeds (white if available)
1/2 cup of full fat milk (or virtually any liquid)
1 TBSP of pure maple syrup (or honey)
Option 1:
1/2 cup of rolled oats (and an additional 1/4 cup of milk)
Option 2:
1 TBSP dark brown sugar
2 tsp honey
1/4 tsp cinnamon
Option 3:
1/4 tsp cinnamon
1 oz box of raisins
Option 4:
1/4 tsp vanilla extract
1 TBSP Cacao
Option 5:
1 TBSP instant coffee
Option 6:
1/4 cup Greek yogurt
Directions
• If you use honey, warm the milk and then stir in the honey.
• Pour ingredients, except the chia seeds, into a jar and mix well, then add the seeds and mix some more. Some of the seeds will try to stay floating, while others may sink to the bottom. Mix again periodically for the next 20 minutes or until the mixture stays well mixed.
• Cover the jar and store in the refrigerator overnight or for at least 2 hours. Overnight would be preferred if you added the optional oats.
Notes
• Mix and match the options pretty much however you like, into the basic recipe.
• Storage: Store the chia pudding in closed container for up to 1 week in the fridge.
