For Balsamic Strawberries:
1/2 pint of strawberries
2 tablespoons of balsamic vinegar
1 tablespoon of hot honey (or regular honey)
1 teaspoon of red pepper flakes
1/2 tablespoon of salt
1 tablespoon of lemon zest
For Marinated Strawberries
1/2 pint of strawberries
1/2 a lemon – juiced
1 tbs of hot honey
1 tbs of lemon zest
1 tsp of red pepper flakes
1/2 tablespoon of salt
5 basil leaves – chopped
1 tablespoon of extra virgin olive oil
The Rest of It:
8 oz of Burrata
5-8 torn basil leaves
1 tablespoon of balsamic glaze
1 tablespoon of hot honey
drizzle of extra virgin olive oil
Directions
In a medium saucepan, add all the ingredients for the balsamic strawberries. Place the pan on medium heat and stir constantly to incorporate the flavors and heat up the strawberries. Lower the heat and let the strawberries simmer for about 10 minutes or until they’re soft (almost jammy).
In a mixing bowl, add all the ingredients for the marinated strawberries. Stir together well and let the strawberries marinate for at least 10 minutes.
In a serving dish, spread out the burrata and add the balsamic and marinated strawberries. Top off with more hot honey, olive oil, basil, balsamic glaze, red pepper flakes, and torn basil leaves.
Serve and enjoy!
