Ingredients

100g grated cheddar

100g plain flour

40g butter, cold

2 tbsp milk

Pinch of salt (optional)

Directions

Rub the butter into the flour until it looks like breadcrumbs.

Stir through the grated cheese.

Add 2 tablespoons of milk and bring together into a dough.

Roll out thinly and cut into small squares or shapes.

Bake at 180°C (160°C fan) for 12–15 minutes, until golden and crisp.

Cool completely they crisp up even more as they cool.
