Crispy Tofu with the Dreamiest Peanut Sauce

Another DELICIOUS tofu recipe for you!

My crispy satay-style tofu, marinated in chilli, lime, and warming spices, & the creamiest nutty peanut sauce - recipe below!

For the Tofu:

280g firm tofu (pressed and cut into cubes or strips)

2 tbsp soy sauce/ tamari

1/2 lime juice

1 tsp maple syrup

1 tbsp Siracha

1/2 tsp turmeric

1/2 tsp smoked paprika

For the Peanut Sauce:

4 tbsp smooth or crunchy peanut butter

1 clove garlic (minced)

1 tbsp soy sauce/tamari

1 tbsp maple syrup

1 tsp grated ginger

2 tbsp Siracha

Juice of 1 lime

150ml water

To serve;

Steamed jasmine rice or coconut rice

Toasted sesame seeds

Chopped fresh coriander

Crushed peanuts

Red chilli slices

For the tofu;

Instruções

In a bowl, mix the marinade ingredients.

Add the tofu and toss to coat. Marinate for at least 20 minutes, or up to 1 hour for more flavour.

Cook the Tofu:

Preheat an air fryer to 180°C & cook the tofu for approx 11 minutes until golden and crisp. Alternatively, grill or pan-fry the tofu in a little sesame oil until golden on all sides.

For the Peanut Sauce:

In a small pan, combine the ingredients and gently heat, stirring until smooth and creamy. Add a splash of water if it’s too thick.

To serve;

Serve the tofu with rice, and peanut sauce.

Garnish with sesame seeds, chopped coriander, crushed peanuts, and chilli slices.
