  • Okra

  • marungay

  • bittermelon

  • squash flower

  • saluyot (jute mallow)

  • sweet peppers

  • bagoong

  • shallot or onion

  • kabocha

  • Tomato

  • garlic

  • water

  • Fried fish (akule, bangus)

Instruções

  1. Sauté garlic, onion, then tomato.

  2. Add bagoong (1 tbs to 3 tbs water)

  3. add water

  4. add veggies and cook on med high until cooked

Notas

Dinengdeng is similar to pinakbet but uses different vegetables and includes fish and is soupy rather than a braise.

*You can use this recipe as a basis for basic blanched/braised Filipino veggies cooked in fish sauce and garlic.
