The tiny details are what make these taste so much better.
That’s the difference between “good tacos” and “wait…I need this recipe right now!”
American Tacos Ingredients:
For the beef:
1 tbsp oil
½ onion
2 garlic cloves
2½ lbs ground beef
2 tsp coarse salt
1 tbsp tomato paste
3 tbsp chili powder
½ tsp garlic powder
½ tsp onion powder
½ bottle @shinerbeer
Instruções
Heat the oil in a large pan over medium heat.
Heat the oil in a pan over medium heat, add the onion and cook until slightly translucent. Add the garlic and cook for about 1 minute, just until fragrant and lightly golden.
Add the ground beef and the salt. Let the beef cook undisturbed for a few minutes.
The meat will release water first. Let that water fully evaporate. Once the pan starts looking dry again, keep cooking until the beef starts browning at the bottom of the pan. That’s where the deeper flavor starts happening.
Make a little hole in the center of the pan and add the tomato paste directly onto the surface of the pan. Let it cook there by itself for a minute until it gets darker and smells rich and slightly sweet.
Then mix it into the beef.
Add the chili powder, garlic powder, and onion powder and mix everything together.
Deglaze with the beer, scraping all the browned bits from the bottom of the pan. Let the beer reduce until the beef looks rich and glossy.
Taste and adjust the salt if needed.
