1 cup butter, softened
2 cups sugar
2 teaspoons vanilla
1 teaspoon almond extract
4 extra large eggs
1 cup whole milk
2 2/3 cups all purpose flour
1 teaspoon salt
2 teaspoon baking powder
1⁄2 teaspoon baking soda
Instruções
Preheat oven to 315. Spray 2 9-inch cake pans. In a large bowl, whip butter and sugar together until light and fluffy. Stir in vanilla and eggs. Scrape sides of bowl and mix again until smooth. In a small bowl, stir flour, salt, baking powder and baking soda together. Alternate stirring in dry ingredients with milk until all ingredients are incorporated. Scrape sides and mix again very briefly. Batter should be smooth. Bake 20-30 minutes or until edges are barely golden brown and toothpick comes out clean after being inserted (cover top rack with foil to prevent browning). Cool completely before frosting. After cool, cut thin layer off cake tops to make even layers.
