Swedish Meatball Noodle Bake Recipe

1 lb ground beef or pork
1/2 cup breadcrumbs
1/4 cup grated onion
1 egg
1/2 tsp allspice
1/2 tsp nutmeg
Salt & pepper to taste
2 tbsp butter
2 tbsp flour
2 cups beef broth
1 cup sour cream
12 oz egg noodles or pasta shells
Fresh parsley for garnish
Instruções
Make the meatballs: Combine ground meat, breadcrumbs, onion, egg, allspice, nutmeg, salt, and pepper. Roll into small balls and brown in a skillet.
Prepare the sauce: In the same skillet, melt butter, whisk in flour, then slowly add beef broth. Simmer until thickened. Stir in sour cream.
Cook noodles: Boil noodles until al dente, then drain.
Assemble the bake: Mix noodles with sauce, place in a greased baking dish, and top with meatballs.
Bake: Cover with foil and bake at 375°F (190°C) for 25 minutes. Remove foil and bake 10 more minutes until bubbly.
Garnish: Sprinkle with fresh parsley and serve warm.
